flags and chicken
Holla! What's happening today? Did you attend a See You at the Pole this morning? We had a See You at the Pole for our homeschool students at our local Chick-fil-A this morning, in addition to the other events at local traditional schools. It was great to have an event for those students not in a traditional classroom! I was homeschooled for eight years and never had an event to go to, so we just prayed from home, but it was fun this year being able to gather together to pray for our families, community, country, and world. Yes, there was breakfast involved too!
So, I'm working on being more prayerful. I am a "studyer" and like interaction and moving around, so studying my Bible is fun. Highlighting, writing notes, and reading my Bible is natural. I have to really work on praying, though. I think maybe my mind wanders, so it makes it difficult :) Anybody? Seriously, though, prayer is super important, as God clearly explains in His Word. Thankfully here in America, we can gather at the flag pole and pray...for now. We must be in prayer for our leaders. We must pray fervently that they will be led by Christ and unswayed by anything or anyone, including public opinion.
Make a date with our Savior today. Spend some time alone with Him. Pray for strong families. Pray for strong Christian students in schools, who will change the world for Christ and live Him out daily in their work places and realm of influence both today and in their adult lives. Pray for strong church leaders. Pray for our political leaders, locally and nationally. The enemy loves to take strong Christian leaders out when they least expect and often in areas of their lives they do not expect. Pray for our world. Pray for the persecuted Christians here in America and over the world. They are alone and away from families today suffering for the sake of Christ. They are someone's son, daughter, sister, brother, mother, father...
"...if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
2 Chronicles 7:14
